Privacy Policy & POPIA Compliance

1. Who we are

LearnerLens ("we", "us") provides a school results portal. Schools are the responsible party under POPIA; we act as an operator/processor on their instruction.

2. Children's data

We process personal information of learners under 18 only with explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian (competent person), or as authorised by the school. Parents may withdraw consent and request deletion via their school or privacy@leerderlens.app.

3. What we collect

• Learner name, ID, grade, class, test marks, and teacher notes
• Parent/staff account email and name
• Audit logs of data access and changes

4. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by role and school tenant. We do not publicly disclose results.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Contact your school's Information Officer or us at privacy@leerderlens.app.

6. Cross-border transfers

Data may be processed on Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure. We ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with POPIA requirements.
